Roombeek

The remodeling of river Roombeek in Enschede included the following actions:

• Daylighting of the river Roombeek: it flows through a canal in the city center and in its old stream bed in the park
• Integration of a water playground
• Initiation of stormwater and purged groundwater
• Installation of huge underground tubes that store big amounts of stormwater and protects the inner city from flooding
