Schilde-Park

The restoration of the river Geis in the Schilde Park in Bad Hersfeld included the following actions:

• Recovering and restoration of river Geis
• Creation of a water playground
• Initiation of stormwater from surrounding sealed surfaces directly into river Geis
• Creation of shallow shores for new floodplains led to a better for flood protection, a better flood drain and ecological condtion of the river as well as additional habitats for plants and animals
